Are you planning to go to college and you need some extra money for a college? Then you need to go to the college you want to go to the colleges web site you want to go to then read there scholarships they have. There are many different ways you can get scholarships, but the main two ways that you can get one is by getting a high ACT score or by having a high GPA.

Here Are Some Scholarships that are available in the Guidance office just go down there and pick one up and apply to it

Mason McConnell Memorial Scholarship
You must have graduated from a Portage County High School and be a student of good standing and you must show a career goal toward agriculture and the scholarship is worth $500
Roger Thomas Scholarship
You must have graduated from a Portage County High School and be a student of good standing and you must be a current or past 4-H member and the scholarship is worth $500
The Peter F. Chen, M.D. Medical Staff Scholarship Fund and The Delbert and Marcella Shilling Scholarship Fund
In order to get this scholarship you must have a parent that works for Robinson Memorial Hospital or Robinson Health Affiliates. You must have a average GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale. At least (5) scholarships will be awarded annually in the amount of $1,000 each.
The Touchdown club
To get this scholarship you need to graduate from a senior high school located in either Summit, Portage or some of medina. Plan to enroll in a college or university located in the state of ohio, for fall 2009, and you need to earn at least (1) varsity letter.
Southeast Youth Wrestling Club Scholarship

1. Name, address ,and phone number 2. List the years in which you participated in wrestling 3. A 2.75 grade point average accumulated, minimum for the previous seven semesters, An official transcript is required and must be included. 4. The type of education you plan to pursue (college or accredited trade school) 5. Write a essay (500 words minimum) on what your college plans are, what your life plans are and what wrestling has taught you about life. THIS MUST BE TYPED. Do not state your name on the essay. The essays are judged and scored by a committee. The identity of the applicants are not known by the judges.
